HEAL® aims at obesity epidemic

Whenever Alabama tops the nation it is usually a source of pride.
But the state has been top-heavy on lists that the governor, health officials and educators said threatens the physical and fiscal well-being of the state.
In recent years, Alabama made the list of top 10 of states with high adult and childhood obesity rates -- and ranked No. 1 twice on the adult list.
